Art Stuff

I like drawing! Because of this I've recently taken to letting myself get some more art supplies that lean into my strengths.

Traditional

Pencils: Faber pencils HB-6B. I don't like wearing them down, so I don't use them for rough sketching.

Inking: 2 Pigma fine brush tips, 1 medium brush, and one .20mm Micron.

Fountain Pens: Pilot Kakuno with an EF tip and a Platinum Preppy F tip.

Markers: 5 Neutral Gray Copics ranging from N0 to N8. When I first got them, I felt like an art youtuber.

My sketches look like this nowadays.

I like brush tipped markers and pens, mostly because I like blocking out lots of shading and dark space. I use thinner ink for planning or detail. The freehandedness of them also helps reduce the RSI/Carpal Tunnel I used to get from furious detailing.

Digital

I have a Huion Kamvas Pro tablet pen with a 2.5k HD screen. Before this I used a Wacom Intuos that looks like it saw at least 5 wars. I also use Photoshop, where I digitalize and color my traditional sketches. I do most of my rendering digitally, and a big chunk of my paintings come from artfight.

Most of the brushes I use come from the True Grit Sampler!

Graphics

a newspaper clipping titled Obituary, with the subtitle being Cause unknown, missing.

Photoshop also lets me do text/effects magic that I use to make a lot of maps (I really, really like making maps) and graphics, usually in-universe things for my settings. I've made a lot of replicas of old TV logos, telegrams, and newspapers, especially for my project Raphiro.

For a true CRT effect, I use Mattias Gustavsson's CRT view.
